Donnachadh (DON-nuh-kuh) is a certified-organic, family-owned estate winery in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA of Santa Barbara County, founded by Drew and Laurie Duncan. Situated nine miles from the Pacific Ocean on Santa Rosa Road in Lompoc, the 285-acre property has approximately 40 acres planted to Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Gamay Noir across two distinct growing environments: riverside sandy loam blocks and wind-exposed marine shale hillsides. The estate's cool coastal climate, defined by morning fog and consistent afternoon ocean breezes, produces wines with slow ripening, bright natural acidity, and a distinct salinity. Winemaker Ernst Storm, one of California's Central Coast's most respected names, crafts the wines in a Burgundy- and Northern Rhone-inspired style that is unmistakably tied to the Sta. Rita Hills.
